  1. Download and unzip anywhere (right-click → Extract All).
  2. Double-click long-red-road-windows.exe.
  3. If SmartScreen objects (unsigned build): More info → Run anyway.
  4. Plug in a controller — the game expects a gamepad.

How to install
  1. Download and unzip (double-click the zip).
  2. Right-click (or Control-click) the app → Open → Open. Plain double-click is blocked the first time — the build is unsigned.
  3. If macOS still refuses: System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll down → Open Anyway.
  4. Works on Apple Silicon and Intel (universal build). Gamepad recommended.

Linux / Steam Deck

How to install on Steam Deck
  1. Press STEAM → Power → Switch to Desktop.
  2. Open the browser, come back to this page, download the Linux build.
  3. Open Dolphin (file manager) → Downloads → right-click the zip → Extract → here.
  4. Right-click long-red-road.x86_64 → Properties → Permissions → check Is executable.
  5. Open Steam (still in Desktop Mode) → Games → Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library… → Browse → pick that file (set the file filter to All Files).
  6. Return to Gaming Mode — the game is in your Library under Non-Steam. The pad just works.
  7. New build later? Replace the extracted file with the new one — Steam keeps the shortcut.
How to install on desktop Linux
  1. Unzip, then chmod +x long-red-road.x86_64 (or Properties → Permissions → executable).
  2. Run it: ./long-red-road.x86_64. Gamepad recommended.
